欲 means “desire”

this is a new one…

and it’s juicy!

“desire”… what does it make you think of?

desire could be all lusty

or it could be simply

the thirsty desire to chug down some water

i did warn you about that “therefore”, right?

there was no mention of “desire” in the first part

so how can ol’ laozi

be drawing conclusions about it in the second part?

well, let’s see what he has to say…

therefore, constantly being empty of desire…
