名

míng

the name that can be named

is not the constant name

the first line and the second line

are in the same format

so we can read them together

they’re saying something about unnamed or unnamable things

ineffable things

what does ineffable mean?

can’t give a name to it

if you give it a name now

then when you talk about it in the next sentence

you are not referring to the same thing

it’s like a flowing river

the contents of a river now

and that “same” river now (now 2)

are different
